Yes, absolutely. Alex Loves Colour foils are made from high grade salon aluminium with no added coatings, so they work seamlessly with any professional hair colour brand or formula. You can use them with all types of products, from permanent dyes and toners to lighteners and high lift bleach, just as you would with traditional foil. They will not react with or affect the chemicals in the colour. They simply help conduct heat and isolate sections as normal.
For best results when using our patterned foils, place the plain silver side against the hair with the printed design facing outward. This ensures the colour or bleach only contacts the aluminium side and keeps our designs visible on the outside, delighting you and your client without affecting the colouring process.
Our foils are a premium 13 micron thickness, making them a perfect medium weight for all colouring techniques. This means they are sturdy enough not to tear or crinkle easily, yet still flexible for effortless folding and wrapping. Each sheet also features a signature embossed texture that provides superior grip. The light imprint on the foil helps it cling to hair and stay put with no slipping during application.
In practice, this textured, medium weight foil lets you apply colour with confidence. The sheets hold their place even on fine or slippery hair, and they withstand heavy saturation or multiple folds without issue. Our foils come ready to use in their own pop up dispenser box, so no additional machine is required. Each box works like a tissue box. You simply pull one out and the next sheet pops up in place, making foiling quick and easy. The boxes also include perforated access points to help you grab the last few sheets, so nothing goes to waste.
Because of this design, you do not need a traditional foil cutting machine or separate dispenser. If you already use a dispensing system, keep in mind our foils are pre cut sheets rather than rolls, so you would simply use them directly from the box. The sheets are standard sizes and will also fit into most foil organisers or trays.

Yes. We know how important sustainability is, so both our foils and their packaging are 100% recyclable. The sheets are made from pure aluminium, which can be recycled again and again, and each dispenser box is crafted from recyclable cardboard. We encourage salons to recycle used foils, just check with your local recycling programs as aluminium can often be recycled if it is free of excess dye. It is one way to give the materials a new life beyond a single use.

Alex Loves Colour is an Australian owned brand, and all our foils are designed in Australia by our founder Alex, who is a professional colourist. We work with trusted manufacturing partners to produce the foils to our specifications and quality standards. Every batch goes through quality control to ensure it meets salon grade expectations, from thickness and embossing to print vibrancy.
While the design and direction are Australian, we partner with experienced production teams to bring the foils to life. Our focus is always on delivering a high quality product, no matter where it is produced.
Ordering is easy through our website. Just add your favourite foils to the cart and check out securely. We currently ship within Australia and New Zealand, and we pride ourselves on fast delivery. If you place your order before 11.00 am AEST on a weekday, we will dispatch it the same day.
We use express shipping for all orders, so transit times are quick, usually around one to three business days for most metro areas. For Australian orders over AUD $100, express shipping is free. For orders under AUD $100, a flat AUD $19.95 express shipping rate applies. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with a tracking number so you can follow your parcel. Please note that we do not currently offer international shipping beyond Australia and New Zealand.
Yes, we do. We value our salon partners and understand that high volume users need better value. We offer built in bulk discounts on our site. For example, a full carton of 12 foil boxes is discounted by 10%, and a half carton of six boxes saves you 5%. These savings apply automatically at checkout when you select the multi pack options, making it easy and cost effective to stock up.
For larger orders or wholesale enquiries, such as distributors or large salon groups, you are welcome to contact us directly. We are happy to discuss wholesale arrangements or volume pricing to support your business.
At this time, we do not offer one off custom prints, such as having your salon logo on the foil. Our focus is on our own curated collections and officially licensed designs. Instead of custom orders, we put our creativity into developing new patterns for everyone to enjoy.
We have already launched collaborations featuring pop culture favourites like Care Bears and Tokidoki, as well as original designs such as Strawberry Sprinkles and Blossom Bliss. We also have more designs on the way. We are always developing new ideas and partnerships to keep things fresh and fun. While we cannot produce custom prints for individual requests right now, you can expect new limited edition collections to continue rolling out.
